Ben's Canteen, Battersea and how Antipodeans are taking over London Brunch.

We couldn't resist starting the year as we mean to go on. Brunching, Afternoon Tea-ing, laughing with friends, and feeling a little hungover - but that's defintiely my own fault entirely. I was in this state when meeting with a few of the Kiwi brunchers just before Christmas for one last 2013 hurrah.

This review I'm going to let the images mainly tell the story - a picture is word a thousand words, right?

Sweetcorn Fritters, always a must.

The ambiance; quite random with a few fun design touches.

Good-sized, varied menu (and at the time of writing if you instagram them you get a free Bloody Mary)

Nice coffee and cute shakes, but they looked better than were thought to have tasted, missing that special extra something.

Excellent Kumara (Sweet Potato) Chips

How good was it? Empty plates and additional coffees always tell their own stories.

Verdict? Ben's Canteen do good solid food with an Antipodean flavour and friendly if spotted service.

    1. I really liked the vibe of the place... the small design touches like the rabbit coat hooks in the bathrooms made me smile too.
