Getting social, in the media

I thought I'd share where I lurk, because I'd like to get to know you, and I also wanted to pass on the internet sites I've found helpful (click the images to join the crazy adventures in 3D).

Twitter - londonkiwiemma

This is an addiction I can't seem to shake off! There is something great about being able to pick up the random world at the touch of the finger tips, though it's a definitely a time suck.  It's a good tool though - the stories that have come from the immediacy of Twitter - take NeverSeconds for example.

Facebook - Adventures of a London Kiwi

Ahhh, the facebook. Perfect for snaps, witterings and chatting to pass a coffee break. Oh, and the occasional meme. Divine for elevenses.

Bloglovin - Londonkiwiemma

Bloglovin' is really helping me keep all of the blogs I read in manageable order - which says a lot as there are so many interesting ones. I like the fact that blog posts can be marked as read or unread, you can search full blogs or single

Google+ Londonkiwiemma

Google+ and I are becoming friends, slowly but surely. It's not quite as easy to pick up as Twitter/Bloglovin' but allows you to do both of the above and branch out and meet other bloggers.

Instagram - Londonkiwiemma

I love instagram - the plethora of delicious dishes, crazy cats & random shots of people's days.

I'm also a fledgling member of Foodies100, a great resource rounding up the top UK Foodie blogs. I'm always amazed by the length and breadth of variety in blogs. It's fascinating to see how creative everyone is.

Where do you prefer to read/keep up to date with blogs?

    1. Me too - Google+ I'm enjoying more, but it doesn't seem as interactive as Twitter.

  2. I am a big fan of Bloglovin, but also find Facebook helpful. It's the first thing I scroll through when I wake up - my morning newspaper ;)

  3. I am a big fan of Twitter, Facebook, Bloglovin and Instagram. Google+ I use but hate. I think I could quite easily just sit on my computer or phone all day just cruising these places ... oops ... it appears that's what I'm doing today!!
Am hoping I get to go to Selena's next tea in March ... would be lovely to see you there! x

  4. I'm just logging into blog lovin' for the first time in a while and I'm kicking myself for not staying on top of it because I feel like I've missed too much in blogland.

    1. The nice thing is though that you can kinda tap in and out as you fancy - there is the FOMO risk though.

  5. Right - I was following you on most of those but I've rectified and am now following you on all of them. I think.

  6. Guess I haven't approached that effectively yet. I'm a bit on blog lovin`, then a bit on twitter - facebook - google+ - blogger reading list. I'm all over the place and haven't found anything yet, that works for me. Maybe I have to re-think that now :)

    1. I find I mostly roll with Twitter, Bloglovin, Facebook and check in the rest occasionally - there is simply so much to look through.

  7. The only one of these I actually like is Instagram. I just can't get into social media. Actually, if we're being completely honest, I hate it. If it weren't for my blog, I wouldn't have any social media save for Instagram and Pinterest, both sites I find incredibly useful. I just don't understand the point of the others. Maybe I'm missing something.

    1. I adore the interaction of Twitter - it has all my mate on, all my blogger communities and loads of random people who are pretty awesome. It also makes my commute MUCH more interesting. Possibly this is key!
