Help: Reading recommendations required

Having completed several long journey recently, I need your help to fill up a few empty spaces. I love interesting fiction, kickass fantasy, scrummy foodie reads, wanderlust inducing travel memoirs and almost everything in between.

Pretty please?

  1. The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton, The Bone Season by Samantha Season, The Truth about the Harry Quebert Affair by Joel Dicket. Currently reading Before I Go to Sleep by SJ Watson.

  2. Anything Neil Gaiman - if you havent already. Loved Neverwhere.

  3. I've just finished Elephant Moon by John Sweeney- it's a good read! set in Burma in WW2 (but it's not a snooze fest, I promise) And there are elephants.

  4. I've just recently become obsessed with Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole series.

I'm not really a crime fiction fan - but he's definitely drawn me it - plus there are about 8 books in the series!

  5. Have you read the Gone series? I adore those xx

  6. Are you on Goodreads? I've found that's a great way to discover new books! Have you read The Passage and The Twelve? Pretty dark but fascinating. I recently read Edward Rutherfurd's Paris which had me wanting to go straight back. And as a book-lover have you read Mr Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore? I loved it :)

So, what do you think? Comments are blogging mana; short, sweet, long, loquacious, deep and meaningful...
