Exotic parcels of delight - Foodie Penpals

You thought I was referring to Santa didn't you? It's a bit early doors isn't it - have you already been sipping at the Eggnog and Mulled Wine already? My postie has been a little lackadaisical again, so I decided to double the deliciousness and bring you two, yes two, months of tasty European treats that have winged their way to my doorstep.

With a plethora of treats, I adored my October penpal parcel - full of so many fascinating flavours & tasty treats. The dried Peach halves are scrumptious, Lime white chocolate was a revelation and I could barely wait to brew a cup of that delicious smelling fruit tea. Julia's beautifully written recieps inspired us to try fresh tabbouleh for dinner which was a delicious change, and that lip balm was beautiful, and perfect in the wintery cold we've had lately.

Wait, did I mention the sweets she included for Mr Kiwi? Incredible more-ish marzipan and nougat bites.

Then came the second bumper box of goodies - sent by Judith, a Dutch blogger living in Sweden, I was blown away by the array of goodies that tumbled onto my floor.

Missing the best Ryvita in the world (that is Ryvita eaten on a Norwegian waterfront for breakfast before going on a breathtaking fjord cruise) the foodie penpal psychic link seems to have kicked in again, with Judith's delicious Swedish parcel...

...allowing me to recreate my delicious gluten-free breakfast feasts. She also sent a pack of scrummy gingerbread biscuits currently bashed and sitting in my fridge making my favourite cheese cake, a pack of fascinating crispbreads, a mouthwatering bar of Daim...

... and a very festive pack of marshmallows. Suffice to say they didn't last very long with our piping hot cups of hot chocolate. Melty goodness.
