If we were sitting down over a cup of joe, I would definitely be starting with something reviving – a cup of warm chai or a strong flat white, complete with perfectly executed foam heart. Cause that’s how I roll.
I would tell you that’s been a relatively quiet month travel-wise, after a few very busy ones. And it’s been delightful. A gloriously sunny Easter weekend, a few long hours staring at my laptop (and starting with a new lovely client) and possibly a few too many cocktails.
How has your April been?
I would probably skite about how we’ve spent many an hour sunbathing, complete with iced coffee and books.
I would want to tell you all about the amazing new initiative my friends Polly & Maggie have launched, Binny’s incredible trip through India, a few of Dannielle’s beautiful shenanigans or some of the staycation adventures that were shared in this month’s travel linkup, like Angie’s babymoon recommendations.
Over a coffee I would definitely recommend a few of the restaurants I’ve enjoyed recently; Aperols during the newly launched aperitivo hour at Evoluzione at Hotel Xenia in Kensington (full lunch review here), brunch with a good friend at Aqua Shard, whilst below our feet the London marathon was being run, a feast of Asian Tapas at Vintry and Mercer and a particularly delicious array of scallops at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.
I would tell you all about the shenanigans of my wonderful friend’s hen party in Bristol (we didn’t do much sightseeing, but if you wanted a list of things to do in Bristol there’s one here.)
There were a few leisurely lunches in my favourite sunny spots, filled with wisteria…
..an escape room or two in the London ‘burbs…
…and several panoramic vistas of London that made my heart jump each time.
Oh, did I mention the wee beastie boss cracking the whip, or the great news I had about my business? She’s sworn me to secrecy though, so we’d have to have an IRL beverage to chat through that one.
Oh, and a secret trip where I spent the day with an inquisitive fairy.
How has your month been? (Also, do you like these catchups? They’re a joy to write!)
