If We Were Having Coffee – The Hot Working Edition

This has been a rollercoaster of a month. For both myself and a lot of the people around me, so if we were having a coffee right now, I suspect we’d be having a White Russian – a cocktail made with vodka, coffee liqueur and cream served with ice in an Old Fashioned glass. Yum.

Work is incredibly busy, travel has been fairly non-existent this month if it hasn’t been work-related and I’ve very rarely been peeping my head outside of my front door. Sometimes you just have to.

When I did occasionally venture out, it was for the odd bit of hijinks here and there.

…and the occasional picnic.

I discovered that the London Stone has had a rather fetching facelift (folklore is that in 1450 Jack Cade, a leader of the rebellion against the corrupt government of Henry VI, struck it with his sword and claimed to be Lord of London. Oh for that to happen again, and Brexit to be sorted!)

I also perfected the art of a top knot, and caught up with a lovely friend or two for dinner and IRL coffee (not related items)…

…and got a lovely expat parcel from www.sanza.co.uk full of Kiwi and Aussie treats that I picked. (Look at the furry diva in the background – she just wants to be included at all times…)

I also finally managed to share our day trip to Rochester, select my favourite afternoon teas so far in 2018/2019 and a few Rotterdam hijinks.

And rounded out the week with a working afternoon in the pub, having lured Mr Kiwi out with me. I also nominated my boss for an award. I’ll update you on the outcome…

I’ve also been inspired this month – by Polly’s amazing announcement over on Follow Your Sunshine, Audi Lou’s straight up realness and felt all the wanderlust that to Amy at Toothbrush Travels. And, less inspired, more desperately envious at Amanda’s Sausage Dog Pop-Up Cafe visit.

What the highlight of your month been so far? Has been a simple pleasure or a complex situation resolving itself?
